Note: Ensure your project frame rate matches your source footage for optimal playback performance.Perform precision cuts and trims
Position the playhead at the desired start point of a clip. Select the clip on the timeline and press Command + B to split the file, then select and delete the unwanted segments.
Note: Hovering over the edge of a clip transforms the cursor into a trim tool for frame-perfect adjustments.Apply transitions between clips
Navigate to the Transitions tab in the top-left toolbar. Drag your preferred transition effect onto the seam where two clips meet on the timeline.
Note: Adjust the duration of the transition by dragging its edges directly on the timeline.Add text and motion graphics
Select the Text tab, choose a style, and drag it to the layer above your video. Use the Inspector panel on the right to customize font, color, size, and entrance animations.
Note: Use keyframes in the Inspector panel to animate text position or opacity over time.Adjust audio levels and effects
Click on your audio track to open the Audio tab in the right-hand panel. Use the Volume slider to balance levels or toggle on Reduce Noise for cleaner dialogue.
Note: Select 'Loudness Normalization' to maintain consistent volume across different audio sources.Export and render your project
Click the Export button in the top-right corner. Configure your settings to 1080p or 4K resolution at 30 or 60 fps, choose your file format, and click Export.
Note: Ensure your Codec is set to H.264 for maximum compatibility across social media platforms.
