How to Set Up a Facebook Marketplace Listing

   Access Facebook Marketplace

   Open Facebook in your web browser or mobile app. Click the Marketplace icon in the left sidebar on desktop, or tap the shop icon at the bottom of your mobile screen. If you don't see Marketplace, it may not be available in your region.

   Note: Marketplace appears only if you have an established Facebook account with real information and profile activity.

   Select the blue 'Create New Listing' button or the '+' icon. Choose 'Item for Sale' from the dropdown menu. Facebook will prompt you to select a category that best matches what you're selling.

   Note: Choosing the right category helps your item appear in relevant searches and suggests appropriate pricing.

   Upload Photos

   Add up to 10 high-quality photos of your item. Take pictures from multiple angles including any defects or wear. The first photo becomes your main listing image, so choose your best shot.

   Enter your asking price in the price field. Facebook will suggest a price range based on similar items. You can also select 'Free' if you're giving the item away. Consider pricing slightly higher than your minimum to allow room for negotiation.

   Set your general location where buyers can meet you. Select pickup options like 'Buyer picks up' or 'I can deliver.' For shipping, toggle 'Offer shipping' if you're willing to mail the item to buyers outside your area.

   Note: Meeting in public places like shopping center parking lots keeps transactions safe and convenient.

   Check your listing preview for accuracy. Verify photos, pricing, and description details. Click 'Publish' to make your listing live. Your item will appear in Marketplace searches immediately and remain active until sold or removed.

   Note: You can edit, renew, or delete your listing anytime by going to 'Your Listings' in the Marketplace menu.
