    Export bookmarks from Microsoft Edge

Open Edge and press Ctrl + Shift + O to open the Favorites menu. Click the three-dot icon at the top of the favorites pane and select Export favorites. Choose your save destination and confirm the export of the HTML file.

    Export bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox

    Verify the exported files

Navigate to the folder on your external drive where you saved the files. Ensure each file has a size greater than 0 KB. If a file is 0 KB, the export was unsuccessful; repeat the process for that specific browser.

Note: You can verify the contents by double-clicking the HTML file to open it in any web browser.

Move files to your new computer

Safely eject your external drive from the old computer and connect it to your new PC. Copy the saved HTML files from the drive to a folder on your new machine's desktop for easy access during the import process.
