Step by step
Check the Bluetooth connection status
Ensure Bluetooth is toggled on for both devices. Open your smartphone settings, navigate to Bluetooth, and confirm the smartwatch is listed as connected. If the status indicates disconnected, toggle Bluetooth off for 10 seconds, then turn it back on to force a handshake.
Note: Avoid using Airplane Mode, as it disables the radio signals required for notification delivery.Verify notification permissions in the companion app
Open the official companion app on your smartphone. Navigate to the Notification settings menu and confirm that your desired applications are toggled to the 'On' or 'Enabled' position. Ensure the 'Mirror my iPhone/Android' setting is active if you want all phone notifications to be reflected on your wrist.
Note: Some third-party apps require manual permission enabled within the app settings specifically.Disable Focus or Do Not Disturb modes
Check that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not currently active on your smartphone or watch. When these modes are enabled, they suppress incoming notifications by design. Swipe down to open the Control Center on your wearable and ensure the moon or focus icon is unlit.
Note: Focus modes often sync across devices; disabling it on your phone usually clears it from your watch.Confirm notification delivery settings
Check if your watch is set to 'Silent' or 'Theater' mode. On many devices, these settings mute haptic feedback and display dimming, which can cause you to miss incoming alerts. Open the quick settings panel on your watch and disable any icons resembling a bell with a slash or a cinema mask.
Restart both devices
Power off both your smartphone and your smartwatch completely. Wait for 30 seconds before powering them back on in sequence, starting with the smartphone. This clears temporary background processes that may be hanging the notification relay service.
Note: A hard reboot is often more effective than a software toggle for fixing sync issues.Re-pair the smartwatch
If notifications still fail to deliver, unpair the device through your smartphone's Bluetooth settings and the companion app. Once unpaired, perform a factory reset on the watch and initiate the setup process again. This reconstructs the authentication tokens required for secure push notifications.
Note: Back up your health data before performing a factory reset.
