Clean microfiber cloth, charging cable, smartphone with companion app

Step by step

  1. 1 min

    Clean the sensor array

Debris, sweat, and oils impede optical heart rate sensors and skin contact electrodes. Wipe the back of the device thoroughly with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth to remove residue. For stubborn grime, dampen the cloth slightly with distilled water and dry immediately.

Note: Avoid using soap or chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the sensor protective glass.
  2. 30 sec

    Verify proper fit

Wearable sensors require consistent, flush contact with your skin to function accurately. Tighten the wristband so the device sits firmly against your skin without restricting blood flow. If the device shifts during movement, the optical sensor cannot track your pulse consistently.

  3. 2 min

    Perform a forced restart

System processes governing sensor telemetry may hang, causing data transmission failures. Perform a force restart by holding the power button and the primary side button simultaneously until the device logo appears. Allow the system to reboot fully to clear active memory.

Note: A force restart does not delete your personal data.
  4. 3 min

    Update device firmware

Outdated firmware often contains known bugs regarding sensor polling intervals. Open the companion app on your smartphone, navigate to Settings, select Device Updates, and install any pending firmware packages. Ensure the wearable is at least 50% charged before initiating the update.

  5. 2 min

    Recalibrate the motion sensors

If step count or gesture recognition is inaccurate, the internal accelerometer requires calibration. Navigate to Settings > Motion & Fitness on the device and toggle 'Fitness Tracking' off for 10 seconds, then toggle it back on. This refreshes the device's movement detection state.

  6. 5 min

    Unpair and re-pair the device

If sensor data remains unresponsive, the Bluetooth handshaking protocol between the device and your phone may be corrupted. Within the companion app, select 'Unpair Device' or 'Forget Device' and perform a full factory reset through the wearable settings menu. Set up the device as a new unit to force a clean synchronization of all sensor drivers.

Note: Back up your data to the cloud before executing a factory reset.
