Step by step
Verify connectivity settings
Ensure both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are active on your Apple Watch. Open Settings, tap Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and toggle them off then on to refresh the connection stack.
Check AirDrop visibility
AirDrop functionality on the watch is mediated through the paired iPhone. Open Settings > General > AirDrop on your iPhone and ensure 'Everyone for 10 Minutes' is selected to rule out contact-only restrictions.
Note: Temporary settings allow for broader discovery during troubleshooting.Toggle Airplane Mode
Swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to access the Control Center. Tap the Airplane Mode icon, wait ten seconds, and tap it again to force a reset of all wireless radios.
Force restart the Apple Watch
Press and hold both the Digital Crown and the Side Button simultaneously. Release both buttons only when the Apple logo appears on the display.
Note: A force restart clears the temporary cache that may be obstructing device discovery.Update watchOS software
Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update on your watch. If an update is pending, install it to ensure the latest communication protocols are active.
Note: Ensure your watch has at least 50% battery or is connected to a charger.
