Step by step

  1. 2 min

Verify door compatibility and clear the site

Ensure your door thickness is between 1 3/8 inches and 1 3/4 inches. Remove existing hardware by unscrewing the interior mounting screws and pulling the lock assemblies from both sides of the door.

Note: Keep your existing strike plate if the new hardware fits the existing mortise cutout.
  2. 5 min

Install the deadbolt and exterior assembly

Insert the latch bolt into the door edge with the bevel facing the door jamb. Align the exterior keypad assembly so the tailpiece passes through the latch hole, ensuring the wire passes under the latch assembly.

Note: Use masking tape to hold the exterior assembly flush against the door while you work from the inside.
  3. 3 min

    Secure the interior mounting plate

Route the wire from the exterior unit through the slot in the interior mounting plate. Align the mounting plate with the exterior unit and secure it using the provided machine screws.

Note: Do not overtighten screws, as this may bind the lock mechanism.
  4. 2 min

Connect the interior motor and calibrate

Connect the wire harness to the interior motor unit and snap the motor onto the mounting plate. Insert the required batteries and allow the lock to perform its automatic handing calibration process.

Note: Ensure the door remains in the closed position during the calibration sequence.
  5. 3 min

Mount contact sensors on entry points

Clean the door frame and door surface with isopropyl alcohol. Remove the adhesive backing from the contact sensor and magnet, aligning the indicator marks on both pieces so they are less than 0.5 inches apart when the door is closed.

Note: Test the signal strength using the manufacturer app before applying permanent adhesive pressure.
  6. 5 min

Sync devices with your smart home hub

Open your smart home app and select Add Device. Scan the QR code located on the lock interior or inside the battery compartment to initiate pairing. Follow the on-screen prompts to name the device and assign it to a room.

Note: Verify the status reflection in the app by manually locking and unlocking the door.
