Step by step
Confirm local network status
Check other wireless devices in your home to confirm your router is broadcasting a signal. If your internet service is down, the thermostat cannot reconnect until the WAN connection is restored.
Note: A power cycle of your modem and router often resolves intermittent connectivity issues.Check the thermostat power
Ensure the display on the thermostat is active. If the screen is black, the device may lack power from the C-wire or have a depleted internal battery; ensure your HVAC system’s circuit breaker is in the ON position.
Restart the thermostat hardware
Perform a soft reboot by navigating to the Settings or Menu screen on the device interface. Select Restart or Reboot to force the unit to re-initialize its network adapter.
Note: Avoid a full Factory Reset until all other troubleshooting steps are exhausted.Update network settings
Open the manufacturer app on your smartphone and navigate to the Device Settings menu. Select Wi-Fi or Network Connection and choose Update Wi-Fi settings to re-enter your network credentials and sync the device with your router.
Note: Ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz band if your thermostat does not support 5GHz networks.Confirm link in the mobile app
Refresh the home screen of the manufacturer app. If the device remains offline, force close the app and reopen it to trigger a fresh check of the server status.
Note: Verify that your app version is updated to the latest release in the App Store or Google Play Store.
