Step by step

  1. 15 sec

    Open the Notes application

Launch the Notes app from your Home Screen or App Library. Tap the Compose icon in the bottom right corner to initiate a new note or select an existing note from your list.

Note: Ensure you are using an iCloud-synced note if you require access to these documents on other Apple devices.
  2. 15 sec

    Access the Camera tool

Tap the Camera icon displayed in the toolbar above the keyboard. Select Scan Documents from the pop-up menu to launch the document capture interface.

Note: If the toolbar is hidden, tap the plus (+) symbol to expand the available media options.
  3. 45 sec

    Scan the document

Position your iPhone directly over the document. The system will automatically detect the paper boundaries and capture the image; if it does not, tap the white Shutter button manually to capture the frame.

Note: Enable Auto mode by tapping the Auto/Manual button in the top right corner for a fully automated workflow.
  4. 1 min

    Adjust corners and crop

After the scan is captured, tap the thumbnail image in the corner to enter the edit view. Drag the circular handles at the corners of the document to adjust the perspective and crop lines, then tap Keep Scan.

Note: If the scan is blurry or skewed, tap Retake to capture a cleaner version.
  5. 30 sec

    Save the scan

Once all pages are captured, tap Save in the bottom right corner. The documents will be embedded into your note as a single PDF file.

Note: Tap the document preview to rename, rotate, or apply filters to the scan.
