Step by step

  1. 15 sec

    Open Privacy settings

Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen. Scroll down and select Privacy & Security to access the central hub for permission management.

  2. 1 min

    Review permission categories

Select a specific category, such as Location Services, Camera, or Microphone. This displays a list of every app that has requested access to that hardware or data type.

Note: Reviewing by category is the most efficient way to see which apps have access to sensitive hardware simultaneously.
  3. 1 min

    Modify application access

Tap on an individual application name within the category list. Select your preferred access level, such as 'Never,' 'Ask Next Time,' or 'While Using the App,' to update the permission immediately.

  4. 45 sec

    Audit app-specific permissions

Alternatively, scroll to the bottom of the main Settings menu to find a list of all installed apps. Tap on a specific app to view and toggle all permissions granted to it in one single view.

Note: This is the preferred method if you are troubleshooting a specific app's behavior.
  5. 30 sec

    Check App Privacy Report

Return to the Privacy & Security menu and select App Privacy Report. This provides a summary of how apps have used their permissions over the last seven days, highlighting potential security anomalies.

Note: Ensure 'Record App Activity' is toggled on to maintain an active log for future review.
