Note: Ensure your iPhone is connected to a power source and Wi-Fi.

    Establish a wired connection

Connect your iPhone to your computer using the appropriate charging cable. Open Finder on macOS or iTunes on Windows to verify your device is recognized by the system.

    Create a local encrypted backup

In the Finder or iTunes window, select your iPhone under the Locations sidebar. Select 'Encrypt local backup', set a password you will remember, and click Back Up Now to save all health and keychain data locally.

Note: Encryption is required to preserve sensitive health and password data.

    Restore from your backup

Once the iPhone restarts to the 'Hello' screen, follow the on-screen configuration until you reach the Apps & Data screen. Choose 'Restore from Mac or PC' and select the most recent backup file from your computer.
