How to Verify Your iCloud Backup Before Switching iPhones

   Open iCloud settings

   Launch the Settings app on your current iPhone. Tap your name at the very top of the menu to access your Apple ID profile.

   Access iCloud Backup settings

   Tap on the iCloud menu option. Locate and tap the iCloud Backup entry to view your current synchronization status.

   Review the last successful backup timestamp

   Look for the text labeled Last Backup. Ensure the timestamp matches today's date or is within the last 24 hours to guarantee your most recent data is captured.

   Note: If the timestamp is old, proceed to the next step to trigger a manual sync.

   Trigger a manual backup

   Tap the Back Up Now button. Keep your device connected to a power source and a stable Wi-Fi network until the progress bar completes.

   Note: Do not lock your screen or exit the Settings app during this process for the fastest results.
5. 30 sec

   Verify successful completion

   Wait for the progress bar to disappear. Confirm that the Last Backup timestamp now reflects the current time.

   Note: Your iPhone is now ready to be wiped or traded in.
