Step by step
Perform a manual backup on your old iPhone
Open WhatsApp on your current device. Navigate to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup and tap Back Up Now to ensure your latest data is uploaded to iCloud.
Note: Ensure your iCloud Drive is enabled in your iPhone settings for WhatsApp.Prepare your new iPhone
Ensure your new iPhone is set up and signed in with the same Apple ID used on your previous device. Download WhatsApp from the App Store.
Verify your phone number
Launch WhatsApp on your new device. Enter the exact phone number previously associated with your account and confirm it via the SMS verification code received on your phone.
Note: You must have access to the SIM card or phone number to complete this verification.Restore your chat history
Once verified, WhatsApp will detect your iCloud backup. Tap Restore Chat History when prompted to begin the migration process.
Note: Do not interrupt the process or close the application until the restore is complete.Complete the initialization
After the chat restoration finishes, tap Next to finalize the setup. Your media files will continue to download in the background once the initial interface appears.
Note: Stay connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid cellular data charges during media synchronization.
