Step by step
Verify iCloud Keychain status
Open the Settings app and tap your Apple ID banner at the top. Select iCloud, then tap Passwords and Keychain. Ensure the toggle for Sync this iPhone is set to ON.
Note: If the toggle was off, enabling it will trigger a background sync that may take several minutes to populate your data.Force a cloud sync
Navigate to Settings > Passwords. If passwords appear to be missing, pull down from the top of the screen to initiate a manual refresh. Remain on the screen until the spinning icon disappears.
Approve via another device
If prompted, navigate to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Passwords and Keychain. Tap Approve with Security Code or use a trusted device to authorize your iPhone. Check your secondary Apple device for an approval prompt and tap Allow to authorize the restoration.
Note: You must use a device that is already logged into your Apple ID and currently syncing with iCloud Keychain.Reset iCloud Keychain encryption
If passwords remain missing, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Passwords and Keychain > Advanced. Select Reset Keychain. This clears the local corrupt database and forces a fresh pull from the encrypted iCloud storage.
Note: This will not delete your passwords from iCloud, only the local cache on your current device.Confirm password restoration
Return to the Passwords menu in Settings. Verify that your saved logins are present. Tap any entry to ensure the stored credentials appear correctly.
