Step by step
Perform a forced restart
Press and release the Volume Up button. Press and release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears on the display, then release.
Note: This process does not erase data; it only forces the system kernel to reboot.Charge the device
Connect your iPhone to a known-working power adapter using a certified cable. Allow the device to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on again.
Note: A completely depleted battery may require up to 15 minutes of charging before the display shows a charge icon.Inspect the charging port
Examine the charging port for debris, lint, or dust using a flashlight. If debris is present, use a non-conductive wooden toothpick or anti-static brush to gently clear the port.
Note: Never use metal objects to clean the port as this can damage the internal pins.Utilize Recovery Mode
Connect the iPhone to a Mac or PC. Open Finder or iTunes, then perform the button sequence from Step 1 but keep holding the Side button until the Recovery Mode screen appears.
Note: If prompted, select Update to reinstall iOS without removing personal data.Perform a factory restore
If the Update fails in Recovery Mode, select Restore in Finder or iTunes. This will erase the device completely and reinstall the latest compatible version of iOS.
Note: Ensure you have a recent backup available in iCloud or your computer before proceeding.
