Step by step
Trigger trackpad mode
Open any app that supports text input. Tap and hold two fingers anywhere on the software keyboard until the keys turn blank and the cursor becomes a visible, moveable point.
Note: If using a physical keyboard, you can skip this by simply tapping and holding the cursor within the text field.Position the cursor
Slide your fingers across the keyboard area to move the cursor through the text. The cursor follows your movement precisely, allowing you to land between any two characters.
Select text ranges
To select text, tap the keyboard area once with a second finger while the trackpad mode is active. Drag your primary finger across the keyboard to highlight the desired characters.
Note: Double-tap to select a word, or triple-tap to select an entire paragraph.Adjust selection boundaries
Lift your fingers to exit selection mode and maintain the highlighted block. If you need to expand or shrink the selection, tap and hold again to re-engage the trackpad and refine the edges.
Note: The blue grab handles at the end of the selection can also be dragged manually for fine-tuned adjustments.Return to typing
Lift all fingers from the screen to exit trackpad mode. The keyboard will reappear immediately, allowing you to edit or replace the selected text.
