Note: Use a trusted contact's device if you do not have another Apple device available.Select your iPad from the device list
Locate the Devices tab at the bottom of the screen in the Find My app. Select your specific iPad model from the list to view its current location on the map.
Get directions to the device
Tap the Directions button to launch Maps. This will provide turn-by-turn navigation to the last reported location of your iPad.
Note: If the iPad is offline, the map displays the last known location and the time it was recorded.Play a sound to locate nearby
If the iPad is nearby but hidden, select Play Sound. The device will emit an escalating chime until you unlock it or dismiss the alert.
Note: This feature works even if the volume is muted or the device is in Do Not Disturb mode.Enable Lost Mode
Select Activate under the Mark As Lost section. Enter a contact phone number and a custom message that will appear on the iPad's lock screen to assist a finder in returning it.
Note: Lost Mode also suspends Apple Pay and requires your device passcode to be entered if one was not previously set.Erase your device remotely
If the device cannot be recovered, select Erase This Device. This action permanently deletes all personal data from the iPad and prevents further unauthorized access.
Note: Once erased, you can no longer track the device using Find My.
