Open Privacy settings
Launch the Settings app from your Home Screen or Dock. Scroll down the left-hand sidebar and tap on Privacy & Security.
Review Camera permissions
Select the Camera option from the main list in the Privacy & Security menu. You will see a list of every app that has previously requested access to your camera.
Adjust Camera access
Toggle the switch next to any app to turn its access off or on. When the switch is grey, the app cannot access your camera hardware.
Note: If an app is disabled, it will prompt you for permission again if you manually enable a feature that requires camera input.Review Microphone permissions
Return to the Privacy & Security menu. Select the Microphone option to view all applications with audio input permissions.
Adjust Microphone access
Review the list of apps and tap the toggle switches to modify permissions. Ensure only trusted applications have access to your microphone.
Monitor active usage
Check your status bar at the top right of your iPad screen. An orange dot indicates the microphone is active, and a green dot indicates the camera is active.
Note: Swipe down from the top right corner to open Control Center to see which specific app is currently using the camera or microphone.
