Step by step
Pair your pointing device

Note: If using a third-party trackpad, ensure it is in pairing mode before initiating the scan on your iPad.Access trackpad configuration
Open the Settings app on your iPad. Locate the General tab in the sidebar and select Trackpad to reveal all customizable options.
Adjust pointer speed and tracking
Slide the Tracking Speed toggle to the left or right to decrease or increase how quickly the cursor moves across the screen. Test the speed by moving your finger across the trackpad immediately after adjusting.
Note: Higher speeds are generally more efficient for larger 13-inch displays.Enable natural scrolling and tap-to-click
Toggle the Natural Scrolling switch to match the content movement with your finger direction. Enable Tap to Click if you prefer a light touch over a physical press to perform a primary selection.
Note: Tap to Click reduces physical fatigue during extended usage.Set up secondary click
Select Secondary Click from the menu. Choose between One Finger or Two Fingers to define how your trackpad registers a right-click action.
Note: The Two Fingers option is recommended for a standard desktop-like experience.Apply gesture shortcuts
Swipe up with three fingers to return to the Home Screen. Swipe up and hold with three fingers to open the App Switcher, or swipe left or right with three fingers to transition between open apps.
Note: These gestures function consistently regardless of the specific app currently in use.
