Step by step
Confirm network connectivity
Ensure both your iPad and your printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Open Settings on your iPad, tap Wi-Fi, and confirm the network name matches the one used by your printer.
Note: If your printer supports Wi-Fi Direct, you can connect directly to the printer's own signal if a local network is unavailable.Open the print menu
Open the app containing the document or image you wish to print. Tap the Share button or the More icon (three dots), then select Print from the action sheet.
Note: Not all applications support printing; if the option is missing, try saving the file to the Files app first.Choose your printer
Tap the Select Printer field at the top of the Print Options screen. Your iPad will automatically scan for AirPrint-enabled devices on your network; tap the name of your printer from the list.
Note: If your printer does not appear, toggle your iPad's Wi-Fi off and on, or power-cycle the printer.Adjust print settings
Select the number of copies, specific page range, color mode, and double-sided printing preferences within the Print Options menu. Changes are reflected in the print preview pane immediately.
Note: Options vary depending on the capabilities of the selected printer model.Send the job to print
Tap the Print button located in the top-right corner of the screen. Your document will be sent to the printer wirelessly.
Manage the print queue
To monitor progress or cancel a job, open the App Switcher by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Tap the Print Center app card to view current tasks and cancel any pending jobs.
Note: The Print Center app only appears in the App Switcher while a print job is active.
