Step by step
Force restart the iPad
Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the top power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen to force a hard reset.
Note: This clears temporary cache files that may be causing the authentication loop.Check system status and network
Navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi and ensure you are connected to a stable network. Verify that the Apple System Status page shows all services as green and operational for Apple ID and iCloud.
Sign out of Media & Purchases
Open Settings and tap your name at the top. Tap Media & Purchases, then select Sign Out. After signing out, restart your iPad and sign back into Media & Purchases to refresh the token.
Note: This specifically targets issues related to App Store and Apple Music authentication loops.Reset the Apple ID password
Go to iforgot.apple.com on a secondary device to update your password. Changing the password forces all linked devices to re-authenticate, which often breaks the sign-in loop.
Note: Use a complex, unique password to ensure the new credentials are accepted by the server.Reset network settings
Navigate to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset. Select Reset Network Settings to clear corrupted Wi-Fi or VPN configurations. Note that this will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords.
Note: VPNs often interfere with Apple ID verification servers; ensure any VPN apps are uninstalled during troubleshooting.
