Establish the physical connection
Connect your Android device to your Windows PC using a high-quality USB data cable. Ensure the cable supports data transfer, as some cables are restricted to power delivery only.
Note: Avoid using USB hubs if possible to ensure maximum transfer speeds.Set the USB mode to File Transfer
Unlock your Android device and swipe down from the top of the screen to view the notification shade. Locate the notification labeled Charging this device via USB and tap it to reveal the USB settings menu. Select File Transfer or MTP from the available options.
Open the device in File Explorer
On your Windows PC, press the Windows key + E to open File Explorer. Locate your Android device in the navigation pane on the left, listed under This PC. Double-click the device icon to access the internal storage.
Note: If the device does not appear, disconnect and reconnect the cable or check your driver status in Device Manager.Locate target directories
Browse the folders to find your desired files. Photos and videos are typically stored in the DCIM folder, while downloads reside in the Downloads directory. Select the files or folders you wish to move.
Note: DCIM stands for Digital Camera Images.Copy files to the computer
Right-click the selected files and choose Copy, or press Ctrl + C. Navigate to the desired folder on your Windows hard drive, right-click an empty space, and select Paste, or press Ctrl + V. Wait for the progress bar to complete before disconnecting the cable.
Note: Large video files may take several minutes to transfer; do not disconnect during the process.Safely disconnect the device
Once the file transfer is complete, close File Explorer. Simply unplug the USB cable from the port. There is no need to eject MTP devices like external storage drives.
