Step by step
Perform the initial system boot
Press and hold the Side button until the Samsung logo appears on the display. Once the Welcome screen loads, select your preferred language from the list and tap the yellow Start arrow to proceed through the mandatory End User License Agreement.
Note: Ensure your battery is at least 50% charged before beginning the setup process.Establish a secure network connection
Select your local Wi-Fi network from the detected list and input the WPA2/WPA3 password. A stable connection is required to authenticate your account and download the latest security patches during the initialization phase.
Migrate data using Smart Switch
Choose Copy apps & data to initiate the migration process. If using a previous device, select Galaxy/Android or iPhone/iPad and follow the on-screen prompts to pair the devices via a USB-C cable or wireless connection to transfer your photos, messages, and contact database.
Note: A wired connection is significantly faster and more reliable than a wireless transfer.Authenticate Google and Samsung accounts
Sign in to your Google Account to enable Play Store access and device backups. Subsequently, sign in or create a Samsung Account to unlock ecosystem features like Find My Mobile, Samsung Cloud, and exclusive Galaxy Store services.
Configure biometric authentication
Navigate to the Security settings to register your fingerprint or facial recognition data. Place your finger on the display sensor or position your face within the frame as instructed to finalize the biometric security layer for device unlocking and payment authorization.
Note: Always register a secondary PIN, pattern, or password as a mandatory fallback for biometric failures.Apply final system refinements
Select your preferred navigation style between Gesture navigation or traditional Navigation buttons. Confirm your preference for Light or Dark mode, and allow the system to install recommended applications to complete the initial configuration of the One UI interface.
Note: You can modify navigation settings later in Settings > Display > Navigation bar.
