  1. 30 sec

    Open system settings

Unlock your device and locate the Settings app. Tap the gear icon to launch the system configuration menu.

Note: You can also swipe down from the top of the screen twice to reveal the Quick Settings panel and tap the gear icon.
  2. 30 sec

    Locate account management

Scroll down the settings list and select Passwords & accounts. If your device version differs, look for Users & accounts or simply Accounts.

  3. 20 sec

    Choose your Google account

Tap the specific Google account you wish to manage from the list. If you have multiple accounts signed in, perform these steps for each one individually.

  4. 30 sec

    Modify sync preferences

Select Account sync. You will see a list of services including Calendar, Contacts, Drive, and Gmail. Toggle the switch next to each service to enable or disable real-time synchronization.

Note: A grey switch indicates the service will no longer sync automatically.
  5. 20 sec

    Force an immediate sync

To ensure current changes reflect immediately, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner. Select Sync now to push or pull pending data based on your updated settings.

Note: Manual syncing may consume mobile data if you are not connected to Wi-Fi.
