Step by step

  1. 1 min

Inspect the rear or side input panel

Locate the HDMI ports on the back or side of your television. Examine the text printed directly on the chassis next to each input port. Look specifically for the label ARC or eARC.

Note: If no ports are labeled, your TV does not support this feature.
  2. 1 min

    Review the on-screen audio settings

Navigate to the Settings menu using your remote control. Select Sound or Audio Output and scan the list for HDMI ARC or HDMI eARC options. If the feature is present, it will appear as an selectable output destination.

Note: Some older models require you to toggle 'HDMI Control' or 'CEC' on first.
  3. 1 min

    Check the manufacturer specifications

Locate the model number on the sticker found on the back of the device. Input this model number into the manufacturer support website to view the technical specifications sheet. Look for the Connectivity or Ports section to confirm ARC compatibility.

  4. 2 min

    Verify the port handshake

Connect a high-speed HDMI cable to the port labeled ARC on your TV and the corresponding port on your audio device. Power on both units and check the audio settings menu; if the connection is successful, the TV will typically display a message confirming the HDMI ARC device is active.

Note: Always use a High Speed HDMI cable or higher to ensure stability.
