Step by step

  1. 1 min

Install Move to iOS on your Android device

Download and install the Move to iOS application from the Google Play Store on your Android tablet. Ensure both your Android device and your new iPad are connected to the same local Wi-Fi network and are plugged into power sources.

Note: Ensure your Android tablet has enough storage space to accommodate the exported data.
  2. 2 min

    Start the iPad setup process

Power on your new iPad. Follow the initial setup instructions until you reach the Apps & Data screen. Select the option labeled Move Data from Android.

Note: If you have already set up your iPad, you must perform a factory reset via Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings to access this migration screen.
  3. 1 min

    Enter the transfer code

A ten-digit or six-digit code will appear on your iPad screen. Open the Move to iOS app on your Android tablet and input this code when prompted. The devices will establish a secure, private Wi-Fi connection.

  4. 3 min

    Select content for migration

On your Android tablet, select the data categories you wish to transfer, including contacts, message history, camera photos, and web bookmarks. Tap Continue to initiate the transfer process.

Note: Ensure the Android tablet remains on the Move to iOS app screen throughout the entire transfer duration.
  5. 1 min

    Complete iPad configuration

Wait for the progress bar on the iPad to finish loading, even if the Android tablet indicates the process is complete. Once finished, tap Done on your Android device and continue the on-screen prompts on your iPad to finish signing into your Apple ID.

Note: Large photo libraries may require additional time to index after the initial transfer finishes.
