Step by step

  1. 1 min

Plug the device into a wall outlet

Insert the smart plug into a standard wall outlet. Ensure the device is within range of your wireless router during the initial configuration phase. Look for an indicator light on the plug to verify it is receiving power.

Note: Avoid using power strips or surge protectors during setup to prevent signal interference.
  2. 1 min

Download and launch the companion application

Download the official companion app specified in the product packaging from the App Store or Google Play Store. Open the application and complete the mandatory account registration or sign-in process.

Note: Ensure your smartphone is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network before opening the app.
  3. 2 min

    Initiate the pairing sequence

Within the app, tap the Plus (+) icon or 'Add Device' button. Select your specific plug model from the provided list. Follow the on-screen prompts to place the plug into pairing mode, typically indicated by a flashing LED light.

Note: If the device does not enter pairing mode automatically, hold the power button on the plug for 5 to 10 seconds until the light blinks.
  4. 1 min

Assign the plug to your network

Select your local Wi-Fi network from the list displayed in the app. Enter the network password precisely to finalize the connection between the cloud and your smart plug. Wait for the status indicator to turn solid.

Note: Many modern smart plugs will only connect to 2.4GHz bands; ensure your router settings reflect this.
  5. 1 min

Add the device to your smart home platform

Navigate to your primary smart home ecosystem app, such as Apple Home or Google Home. Select 'Add Accessory' or 'Add Device' and use the Matter QR code on the plug or the provided setup code. Once authenticated, assign the plug to a specific room for better voice command organization.

Note: Naming the plug clearly, such as 'Living Room Lamp', improves voice assistant recognition accuracy.
